HOW DOES BIKE CHATTANOOGA WORK?

Check out a bike from any one of the 38 stations, ride it, and return the bike to any other station in the system. You can take as many free 60-minute trips as you want while your Pass is active.
HOW DO I TAKE OUT A BIKE?
To use Bike Chattanooga, you must purchase a Pass, either online, at a kiosk or on your smartphone. Annual Pass holders: insert your bike share key into any dock to unlock the bike. Access Pass holders: enter your ride code on the keypad on the dock. Once the green light on the dock appears, the bike is locked. Remove the bike from the dock by lifting the seat or pulling backwards on the handlebars.
HOW LONG CAN I KEEP A BIKE OUT?
The first 60 minutes of each ride is included in the base price of the pass or with your membership. Extra usage fees apply after 60 minutes. See Annual Pass and Access Passes for more information on pricing.

HOW DO I RETURN A BIKE?
Return the bike to any of the 38 stations with an open dock. You can locate an available dock on the Station Map or the Transit or Cyclefinder mobile apps. Once you’re at the dock, match the triangle on the front of the bike with the dock, and insert the bike. A green light will appear on the dock indicating that the bike has been locked in the dock.
CAN I RIDE A BIKE OUTSIDE OF THE SERVICE AREA
Yes, but you still have to return the bike to one of our 37 stations after your ride. Remember, extra usage fees apply after 60 minutes. See Pricing for more information on pricing and usage fees.
DO THE BIKES FIT EVERYONE?
Bike Chattanooga bicycles were designed to fit riders of a variety of heights and sizes. Each bike seat can be adjusted for height using the black lever below the seat. The seat post also has numbers, so you can remember your height setting for future trips. You must be 16 years or older to ride Bike Chattanooga.
HOW LONG CAN I KEEP A BIKE OUT?
The first 60 minutes of each ride is included in the base price of your Pass. Extra usage fees apply for each ride that exceeds 60 minutes. See Pricing for more information on usage fees.
WHY ARE FREE RIDES ONLY 60 MINUTES?
Bike share was created for quick trips and getting from point A to point B. Free rides are limited to 60 minutes to ensure that bikes are returned and bike available for other riders.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I WAS CHARGED USAGE FEES?
Annual Pass holders can log into their accounts and check their usage. These Pass holders will also receive monthly statements with information on usage fees.
Access Pass holders can go to a kiosk at any station, push “Account Info,” and review the instructions on the touch screen. For questions or help, contact Customer Service.
HOW CAN I MAKE SURE MY BIKE WAS DOCKED CORRECTLY?
Match the triangle on the front of the bike with the dock and insert the bike. If a green light appears, the bike has locked into the dock, and your ride has ended. If a red light appears, the bike has not been locked into the dock. If no light appears, the bike has not been locked into the dock. If a red light or no light appears, remove the bike from the dock and try re-inserting the bike into the dock. If you have trouble docking your bike, call Customer Service at 888-925-4415.
CAN I BRING A BIKE ON THE BUS?
No, dock your bike before you get on the bus. Once you get off the bus, pick up another bike at a nearby station.
