Bike Share Toronto
Bike Share Toronto is a bicycle sharing system located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Launched in 2011 by Public Bike System Company (PBSC, now PBSC Urban Solutions) under the BIXI brand, the system was taken over by the Toronto Parking Authority (TPA) in 2014. The system runs year-round and currently consists of 2,750 bicycles, 4,700 docking points, and 270 stations within the downtown Toronto area.
BIXI Montréal is a non-profit organization created in 2014 by the city of Montreal to manage its bike-sharing system. The BIXI network has 6,200 bikes and 540 stations spread out across the areas of Montreal, Longueuil and Westmount. Much more than just a simple mode of transport, BIXI is now a great way to zip around the city whenever you want to go wherever your heart desires.
Mobi is the official bike share program for the City of Vancouver and part of the City’s vision of promoting cycling as an integral part of daily life. The City contracted with a private company; Vancouver Bike Share Inc. (a subsidiary of CycleHop) to operate the program. The City of Vancouver administers the private contractor.
SoBi Hamilton is the non profit local operator who keeps the Hamilton Bike Share system rolling smoothly. We maintain the fleet of bicycles from our headquarters on the lower level of the Seedworks building on Catharine Street in the heart of Hamilton. We monitor the system 24 hours a day to ensure you have a bike available at your source hub, as well as parking available at your destination hub. We use fourth generation “smart bike” technology provided by New York based Social Bicycles throughout our system of 825 bicycles and over 130 hubs.
VeloGO is the official Bike Share program for the Ottawa-Gatineau area. Inspired by graceful waterways and stately bridges that connect the two cities, VeloGo is operated by CycleHop – the healthy, fun and affordable way to get around around the capital region. VeloGO has be live since Fall 2014 and located at dozens of hubs throughout Ottawa and Gatineau.
